Name Essay

When I was in middle school at Stone Bank School and got called down to the office, the principal would not say my last name right, he would say, “Can Megan Toe-nnies please come to the office?” I would be so embarrassed because the principal couldn’t pronounce my name right, and I would think like it’s not that hard to say or pronounce.

In my head I thought, my name can’t be that hard to pronounce, but then and I look more at my name and I keep looking at it and saying it in my head. I then realize oh wait this is hard to pronounce to others. But after a while, I thought my teachers and my principal would have gotten to know what it is and how to pronounce it properly.

When I think of the name Megan I think of a bright shiny person who is positive. I also think of the colors pink, red, and purple, because those seem like bright colors. I also think that it means being very moody, and not wanting to open up to others about what is going on. What I think of when I hear the name Megan is think of someone who is willing to help others when they need it.

My name is very important to me because it symbolizes who I am and also part of my name is from my mom’s name as well. I love my name and how it is and I wouldn’t change it because it is perfect. The reason why I love it so much is because it represents who I am and the person I am today.
