The life of my dogs
It's a kid's dream to get a dog for Christmas. She was in the kitchen behind a gate so she wouldn’t get to all of the other presents. I was excited to open my presents, and then suddenly I heard a whining sound that when my brother yelled “oh my gosh.” Me and my brother went to see what it was and it was a beautiful young female puppy. I never thought that now I would have two furry friends that my brother and I could play with.
I don’t remember her name, but we changed it to Peppermint after we got her for Christmas. She was a rescue dog. She lived with my cousins before we got her. We were getting her because it was just me and my brother and we didn't have anything to do. Our parents came up with an agreement to give us a house pet, something for us to do and to take care of. We had to learn how to play with them and feed them. We all take our turns feeding them.
A half a year passed and my brother wanted another dog so we got one from the animal shelter people. Her name is Snickers. When Snickers first came to us her name was Amaya. When she saw Peppermint, her sister for the first time they barked for quite a while. As they grew on to live together; they grew more to be like siblings even though they were not siblings.
Now, having dogs has been a true gift. They are cute, loveable, and soft. Peppermint and snickers are the two best dogs to me in the world. Peppermint and snickers make me feel happy every day just seeing them and being able to play with them.
