Things Happen For a Reason

I never thought that having someone walking out of my life would turn into something superb. Especially someone that was going to be very important to me in life, my dad. It's crazy how that man caused so much damage but good by leaving.  If it wasn't for that man leaving my life I would not have met Miguel who I proudly call my dad.

One night my biological dad asked my mom if they could talk, they were in their room and all I heard was arguing. For some reason I had that feeling in my stomach that something was going to happen. Never in my life I would think that the reason they were arguing was because my biological dad had made the decision to leave us for another woman. It hurt me seeing him go but as harsh as it sounds, I'm glad he made that decision. He didn't deserve us. What most hurt me was seeing my mom devastated, wondering what she had done wrong.

As my mom realized she hadn't done anything wrong, along the way she met my Dad, Miguel. My mom suggested that living in Georgia would just hold her back and would make her think of all those bad moments she have had with my biological dad. Instead she decided to make a new start somewhere new so she could start all over again. That's when my mom decided to move to Sacramento. Honestly, I miss Georgia and my family but I'm happy my mom realized what was best for all of us.

As time went by I slowly started to get close to my dad Miguel. He taught me how to love again and made me believe in fresh starts. The way he taught me was him telling me to have trust in him, once I get the confidence to trust anyone, thats how I learn.  He taught my family that it's never too late. He taught me so much stuff my biological dad never taught me. Miguel saw me grow and become the lady I am today. More than a dad I considered him a friend and I'm grateful he walked in my life.

The moral of the story is it's not always bad having people walk out your life; life takes them out in order for better things to walk in.

What inspired me to write this a call from my biological dad. I hope from this article you will see that it is okay for someone to walk out of your life because someone better will walk in.
