South Sac,My Home
My Sacramento is full of the smell of Trees. I live in the South Side of Sacramento on a street called Florin. An amazing part of the city with a lot of diversity. With all the fresh smelling and sparkly clean transportation like light rails and busses. I feel safe walking the clean and friendly streets of Sacramento, it is a place where you can just hang out with a group of friends and kickback at the California State fair where the smell of kettle corn fills the air. When I walk down my neighborhood I see kids chasing together playing cops and robbers until the streets are dark.
I wish this was the reality but unfortunately it's not. The streets of Sacramento have a lot of homeless people everywhere you go with shopping carts filled packed clothes and blankets for the freezing cold nights. On the streets we have to rely on protecting ourselves more than the people in the black uniforms do. The light rail and busses smells worse than public restrooms. People here don't mind the loud helicopters searching for someone dangerous, Not even the sound of pops at night followed by the sound of an ambulance.
There is a lot of problems the city has and the Government isn't doing anything about it. There are homeless people sleeping on the ground because there isn't many homeless shelters and even if there was they aren't allowed to lay down or take their pets in with them. The light rails and public busses are disgusting because the city doesn't clean them. People don't feel safe walking the streets at night because of all the gang violence that the police isn't really doing anything about.
Overall Sacramento I like Sacramento but it could be way better. I just wish there was more shelters here in Sacramento for the homeless.
