It was Christmas eve 2009 and I wanted to go to bed super early so I knew that santa got me gifts. Right before I knew it, it was Christmas morning I got up super quickly because I wanted to see what I got from santa. When I got downstairs I realized that I should probably get my family before I open any presents. I wanted to give my parents a little more sleep even though I was incredibly tempted to go open my gifts that I got. So to kill time I decided to have some breakfast, so I poured myself some frosted flakes and munched my breakfast down. After I was done with breakfast I checked the time to see that breakfast only took ten minutes. So I waited and waited till I just couldn’t wait any longer so I sprinted upstairs to get my Mom, Dad, and my brother. I hopped on their bed yelling GET UP! GET UP! GET UP! And wouldn’t stop yelling until they did get up. Then I sprinted in to my brothers room hopped on his bed and said GET UP! GET UP! GET UP! Finally I see my parents get out of bed but then they went to their bathroom to do everything like put in their contacts brush their teeth. I couldn’t find what was wrong with them I mean there’s presents down there just waiting for us. Even though I urged and urged them they would still be moving as slow as a snail. After I waited which felt like forever everyone had finally came down. I rushed to the presents but my mom and dad stopped me and said “lets open the stockings first”. So we all went to the stockings. My brother went first with opening his stocking I heard something, and I asked “everyone if they heard it to,” they said they heard “nothing”. I decided to ignore it but I couldn’t it was this whining sound. I of course had to go last for opening my stocking so I went as fast as I could to find out what that whining noise was that was near the presents. It was finally time to go to the presents and I hurried over there, I see something big but I couldn’t see what it really was. I finally see that it is a kennel and I had my very first dog. I immediately grabbed him out, he jumped right it to my arms and I was never let go. It felt like the best Christmas ever and the morning just started. I had to come up with a name for my dog, I spent a really long time on it and had a huge list of names then I narrowed and narrowed the names down until I finally got the name Walter. I loved it so I named him Walter, it kinda surprised me how such a little animal could affect my life in such a huge way. On this very day I look back on Christmas in 2009 as the best Christmas in my entire life.
