Imagine a little sand box. The sand was glistening and leaves swaying. There also is a gentle breeze in the air.  In the sandbox is a little innocent child playing with his toys deep into his own thoughts. Then all of a sudden the child was pulled out of his thoughts by a old 10 year old golden dog with dark brown innocent eyes. peeing on him and his toys. My dog gets very nervous very easy so, it was a rookie mistake that we did not have him on a leash. I could tell just from that moment this trip was going to be a bust.

“NO! Stop that dog from peeing on my son!” The kid’s mother shouted.
The mother then pulled her son away and lifted him into her arms giving my family and I a dirty look.
“Jack, get the leash!” My father screamed.
“Hey! Control your dog, would you?” A raspy voice said.
“Sorry I’m so sorry, It won't happen again.” My mother gulped.
“It’s fine,” One of the workers said.

That clearly was a half-hearted fine. What person says it fine for a dog to pee on a kid and his toys.

After that happened we then made our way to our little cabin. When we got there we unpacked our suit cases and then we decided to explore the area. This time we made sure we had a leash with us so that we can stop another peeing accident.

“Where do you want to go explore, Mom?” I asked.
“Hm what about the beach?” She suggested.
“Sure,” I answered.

We then make our way toward the beach with the dog on a leash. On our way to to the beach area we came across the old man who gave us a dirty look and scuol. He stopped us and started to speak.

“I didn’t really get to meet when you guys when you got here, I’m Arnold I’m the owner of this place,” He said with a raspy voice.

“Well, I’m Amy and this my husband Ron. These are also my two children Annie and Jack,” my Mom answered.
I nervously looked up and gave a awkward smile to the old man. He then carried on to say.
“Well have a nice day,” Arnold said.
It actually a pretty bright happy day. It was so bright the sun could have had a smile on it’s face.

My family and I carried on walking down toward the beach. Once we got there the first thing we did was go in the water and skip rocks. Once we gave up trying on skipping rocks we went on the dock to get a better view of the gorgeous and glistening Lake. Once we started walking back to the main beach area I noticed a “No dogs allowed” sign. The sign was a ocean blue with worn out wood and a bright and big white letters “No dogs allowed.”

“Hey isn’t that a “no dogs allowed on beach” sign?” I suggested.
“Really where?” Jack answered.
“Yeah that is a “no dogs allowed” sign” my Mom replied.

My family and I  then looked around nervously to see if Arnold was around giving my family and I a dirty look or come over here and yell at us.

“I’ll take the dog back to the cabin or take him for a walk,” My brother suggested.

My mom nodded and my whole family started walking of the dock. The dog must have heard our nervous tone in our voice or must have heard a lot of people talking or also little children yapping among their friends. The dog than proceed to squat and do a number two. All I could think of was great. This is for sure of last strike from being kicked out.

“No no no!” I yelled.

I started to pull on the leash to make him stop him but it didn’t work. Before I knew it my dog’s waste was just sitting there on the dock for everyone to see. Thankfully no one was on the beach at the time.

“Jack go get the bags from the cabin!” My Dad yelled.

Jack then ran off the dock to the beach area then onto the dirt path. My mom and I then suspiciously stood in front of where my dog had just used the bathroom. My mom and I both had a nervous smile on our face’s to look normal as possible. While my dad tried to comfort the dog to stop him shaking. Out of our surprise Arnold had been walking along the beach to pick up any trash left from the other residents. He gave us a smile. We gave a nervous smile back. Then he carried on.

“I’ve got the bags!” Jack shouted.

“Good,” My mom answered.

We then cleaned up the mess the dog has left us. From that moment on I have learned two things. One, always have a dog on a leash in a new area. Two, let the dog sniff out the area first before having a dog meet new people.
