Fist Day of Football

It was a very exciting day for me. The sun was shining, the wind was slightly blowing, the weather was perfect. This was it, this was the day were I finally go to sign up for football. As my mom was driving me to tryouts I remember that I couldn’t stop asking her if I was going to do good or when where we're going to get there. I was more annoying than the annoying orange.

As we pulled in the parking lot, I saw the other kids playing a two hand touch game of football. I Immediately jumped out the car and ran off toward the other kids. While the other kids and I were playing, my mom was talking to the coach about my health issues.

“My son Troy has asmau and I have a inhaler for you so if he needs it give it to him,” Said my mom to the coach.
Not long after, we started tryouts. I knew exactly where I wanted to play. Quarterback just like Barry Sanders. But wait, Barry Sanders is one of the best running backs not quarterbacks. Well that’s where my little brain got confused, or my peanut sized brain as my sister would call it. That’s what I thought he played. The coach asked all the kids where we wanted to play and we would go into groups and try out to see what team we would be on. We had to have two different teams because we had so many kids trying out.

My friends Cameron, Zach  and I went to the Quarterback spot and did some passing drills.
“I bet I am the starting quarterback,” Cameron said while throwing the ball as far as he can.
“Nah you're crazy dude I will be the starting quarterback,” said Zach.
“I bet you five dollars I am.”
“Deal you better bring that money tomorrow.”

“Hey guys can we just practice then we can worry about how much money I get from bout of you,” I said.

The day went on and I was put as the starting Qb. That night when I got home I told my dad all about it (stepdad) and how I was going to be just like Barry Sanders, see they way my dad being they way he is  he didn’t bother to tell me that I was playing the wrong position. He was just happy that i’m playing and that I was starting so he didn’t say anything. SO that my first experience in football.
