A mans best friend
Why do we carry on the memories that can make us sad but also happy? As I thought when I heard the sound of his old tags clanging together.
I had a dog named Tank. His fur was as soft as silk and as bright as the sun. He was my best friend and I would always take him for a walk in the woods. He was a really smart dog and he just knew what to do. I could never forget his brown eyes; they're brown as oak. However, when he was 7 he got stomach cancer and this led to him having a drastic change he wouldn't eat and it took a lot for him to get up. so my dad and I decided to put him down. My dad put on his old worn-out military boots. And threw on his frayed tan baseball hat. Then we came back and buried him in the cold winter ground. One thing that we do with all our dogs is that we keep their collars. It is there to remind us of all the fun memories we made with our dogs.
It was a nice cold brisk winter when I saw him. His fur was so bright and soft. He was like a little bolt of lightning jumping from one place to another. When he took his first step outside into the cold winter air. He felt the crisp wind flow around him. Snow splattered across his face and nose.
The wooden door opens as you are greeted by your dogs. They are so excited to see you back home. The warmth of the home is so relaxing and the bed looks so inviting. Even better when your dogs lay on your bed on a nice winter night. The nice deep blue blankets wrap around you. It's so cozy and it feels like all your problems with the day just go away. Like no matter what's going on outside it doesn't affect you at all.
