I Praise the Man Who Dreams in Twilight
I praise the man who dreams in twilight
As if his journey’s just begun
I praise the courage of the man
An immigrant who crossed the sea
A bridge between the old and new
To build a different life
I praise the mercy of this man
Who opened up his heart
To children from a distant land
With patience, love, and outreached hands
I praise the smiles of such a man
Who battles cancer day and night
Still with some childlike wonder
Beaming like the sun
He trusts in God, and God alone
In matters large and small
He never ends the fight
My grandpa is this man
