Today’s America
To Those Who Serve This Nation:
Title: Today’s America
Fear was heard and a deep crater was left.
The planes have been hi-jacked and were on course,
To make us pay for the past that they saw.
The Towers had no chance for they had been struck by the planes,
The planes that would drag them down from the sky to the ground,
The same planes that would take our nation from tranquility to turmoil,
The same planes that would take our nation to the Gallows of Hell to what I call “War”.
Now men and women of great valor put themselves in combat.
Now men and women of great gallantry prepare to serve.
Now men and women of great audacity prepare for the worst.
Now the paramount of all of our society, those who serve, are ready to do their duty in this war.
Shots are fired and you see your comrade go down.
You see the twisted look of horror on his face and you know it’s too late,
So you turn and look at the enemy that had shot at your brother and continue to fight.
You fight for your downed comrade whose life shouldn’t and doesn’t go wasted.
You fight so you don’t face the same fate as your fallen friend.
You fight despite of the protestors that mock and ridicule you.
You fight despite of times of political unrest.
But most of all you fight for me, my family, my friends, and even the protestors and the politicians.
You fight for this nation and all its populace.
You are the people that should be regarded as the saviors of society.
You will always be honored by me and this nation.
For you are America.
"This will certify that the above work is completely original."
