Educator Of The Year
Educator Of The Year
I remember the first day I walked into her class it, it looked weird because she had paintings on her roof and on the walls. Ms. Martinez was the best teacher I have ever had. She taught in a different way than most of the science teachers i ever had. Her classes were never boring because she didn't make us write a lot of notes throughout the year. The lessons she taught always had to do with something interactive. If someone walked into the classroom they could instantly feel the connection she had with her students. Whenever we've had a bad day or just bored she would put like a video or something to cheer us up. Our class was pretty fun even without the videos. She let us talk for every assignment except for test. My favorite thing we ever did was to create a tower that could hold an egg with fewer objects. When the STAAR test came she gave us some good study tips for any type of test in general. She didn't cram a lot of stuff into us at the end of the year because she had done a good job of it during the two semesters. I feel that she deserves the “Educator Of The Year” because she did a great job to not make her class boring since that was her first full year of teaching.
