Student in 2024
I am a student in 2024, but that means a lot more for me than just sitting in a classroom. I have realized my friends are an escape for me when I am overwhelmed with school. I live for the weekend. I live for long nights in a basement with card games and LED lights. I countdown the days until summer after the first week of school. I have found out that I learn the most things from people around me. I have learned everything I need in life from my friends.
Jo: Josie Bularz has taught me to be forgiving. She has shown me in so many ways that when we forgive instead of hate things can still have hope in them. Josie has made change in her life from being forgiving. She is happy because she forgives, and kind because she forgives.
Evie: Evelyn Perkins has taught me to love. This sounds strange since usually love is something you just kind of figure out how to do on your own. But Evelyn didn't teach me what love was-she taught me how it felt to be loved. She has shown me that I am not impossible to love, and that I have every right to accept it into my life. Evelyn loves almost everyone she encounters, and she has influenced me to love people too.
Mac: Macie Bularz has taught me to be kind. Macie is a light. She is so bright that whenever you are around her you will know. I have never seen Macie say one mean thing, I believe that she doesn't even think mean things. She has taught me that staying bitter will do me nothing and that being kind is how you are going to win. She has shown me that in many different ways.
Aves: Avery Daun has taught me to have courage. Avery could walk into any building, student section, and or a crowded area with her head up and a smile on her face. Avery is confident within herself and that has been so beneficial to witness. It is inspiring and makes me feel comfortable whenever I am at her side. Her energy is contagious and I want to have her courage.
