Story of my life in Mexico
Story of my Life in Mexico
When I was younger I used to live in the US and then my mom decided to go to Mexico to live there because my grandma used to live there so my mom said it was just for a summer vacation but we ended up living there for 8 yrs. I was like 3 yrs old and we came back to the US when I turned 11. We came back because my parents got divorced and my grandma passed away so the economy over there wasn't the greatest. We had 3 houses over there in different areas but we mainly lived in the central part. My life was so good in Mexico.
I miss it everyday even though I love the US. Mexico is just a vibe. When we got there it was time for me to go to kindergarten. I already knew a little bit of English and Spanish but mostly English because I had just gotten there. So when I went to my first day instead of learning the kids names I would associate them with the things that they wore.( I know this because I have a best friend there and we’ve been friends since we were 3 and I called her “la nina de los crocs morados” because her crocs were purple ) later on I remember my sister went to kinder with me and i felt grown so I wouldn’t let her hang out with me. Now I kind of regret it because I could have made a stronger bond. The same thing happened in elementary.
When I went to elementary school me and my best friend were meant to be in different classrooms but we figured out the way teachers arranged the kids and we got in line just like that. It was also great because I met new people and we were all like a family. Right now that I'm thinking about it, I miss them so much because I love my current friends but my friends from elementary school were the realest like I have so much background with them. We know everything about each other, like we really grew up together. When I came back to the US I was in 5th grade and we all got sad. I can't believe that that was 5yrs ago. When I was only 1 year here I texted my friends and we all had a big fight so right now I don't talk to a lot of them but I hope one day we are all okay and could get together again.
