As soon as you think to cut a piece of paper you are making a decision specifically a live versus death one. First, you might grab the scissors from the bin. Feeling that knob opens so much like that threat of cuts and possible brawn blood. If children are present, tell them all of the harmful possibilities before use, really get them to understand the terror of scissors. Taking the scissors by the hand is very dangerous since you need to grab the blade end. To do this as carefully as possible, you will put the handles in your left hand slowly wrapping your right hand around the blade. The blade of the scissors will be faced down in your clenched fist knowing that you have no reason to feel afraid. Although, you never feel comfortable with it knowing that the idea of cuts is still present. You will walk with the scissors over to your station you are going to cut by. As you lower your hand you feel the blade drop and fear strikes you like a battering ram. You set the scissors down, and take a look at a hand you hope is not cut. If you take enough care your hand will be clear or blood, but if not use a bandage to heal your wounds.

When you will go through your supplies looking for the perfect piece of paper, which may seem endless. While doing this, the paper may slide right in between the ridges on your fingers making small unbearable cuts. So take caution, this is no job for the light of heart. Keep this in mind when grabbing the paper out, hold it in between your thumb and index finger ensuring the sharp edges cannot touch your gentle skin. As you make your way to your station, now set with your scissors you will place your paper next to it. Then you should settle down for this journey of terror. The paper is in front of you, tauntingly staring at your bloodless hands.

You grab the scissors by the handle this time feeling as though all harm is gone and you are safe. You pick up your paper with your hand and open the scissors blades. The blades spread apart leaving room for the paper to go in, or possibly a finger. You start to get scared just the thought of the possible cut on your hand freaks you out so you look underneath the paper. You see the blade under the paper and reposition your hand to be out of reach of the scissors. You look at the top again mapping out every possible move you can make with the scissors. You choose what to do, and you start to squeeze the handles hearing the paper slicing between the blades seeing the blades open and close. As you make your way down the paper you realize your hand might be in the way again, you slowly move your hand away again.

Feeling confident, you make the final cut as if cutting the opening ribbon for your favorite restaurant. You look at your clean line and see your creation take form now that you have done this once you feel at ease and decide to make another cut and another until your paper is perfectly crafted. In awe of your creation, you decide that you are done for the day. You throw out the scrap paper again being careful not to cut yourself with the thin sheets.  Then move over to the bin where you got the scissors, put them away and your heart rate drops rapidly and the fear is gone! You are left with no fear and a beautiful unique creation you, yourself have designed.

This is a how to essay from one of my classes. I thought it would be cool to do how to cut paper since scissors and paper both have dangerous elements. My peers thought it was well worded and engaging.
