Stop and smell the flowers.

Red. The pop of a firework lights up the sky. Whistle, boom.

White. The moon’s reflection glimmers across the water as a little girl cranes her neck in awe. Ripples of water shine pureness across her face and reflect brightly in her emerald eyes.

Blue. Laughter echoes over the lake, celebrating the birth of the place we love.

Red. Back at home, a fire crackles softly between the family, lounging in a semicircle.

White. Fluffy marshmallows turn golden in the heat while stories of old times are re

Blue. The freedom of the vast sky turning from blue to purple.

Red. The blood of our strongest soldiers who gave the biggest sacrifice to our country.

White. Illuminating each new day with hope and determination.

Blue. Ringing of heavy bronze bells sings of our freedom all across the land.

Stars. Holding our past, always by our side reminding us of the struggles of our brothers and sisters. Each star is the life of a fallen soldier.

Stripes. The creation of our dreams. The symbol of the life created for us by us.

Through wars and through peace, our flag still stands proudly before its people. Through the years, our flag holds the creation of, “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
