What Freedom Means to Me
Freedom is fireworks whizzing up into the sky, exploding with vigor into a shower of color. It is glossy eyes gazing up at the dark sky, admiring the bursts of light and glimmers of stars against an astral backdrop. It is the stadium lit ballpark singing the tune of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during warm summer evenings. Freedom is what makes me, me.
Freedom is a proud family, watching as their son leaves to give liberty the image of courage and bravery in the face of war and oppression. It is the manifestation of honesty and integrity in the people that call this country their own. It is the love this country has for its men and women in uniform, standing up to tyranny and corruption. Freedom is what makes you, you.
Freedom is the choir, singing songs of the triumphant as church bells thrum gently on a calm Sunday morning. It is the notion of equality between races, religions, and reasonings of one another, upheld by the people. It is the life, love, and land of our great nation, a symbol of liberty to all. Freedom is what makes us, us.
