What REALLY matters?
What really matters? There are mornings when I will spend way too much time in front of the mirror. There are days when I think so hard just to decide what in the world I am gonna wear that day. There are times when I put way too much thought into what I should say to be considered "cool" at my school. After thinking it over I have realized, how pathetic! Looks DONT matter, being POPULAR does NOT matter, and what other people say and/or think about you most definitely does NOT matter!
Do you wanna know what DOES matter? What YOU think of yourself! If you are one of those people out there who constantly waiste your time caring about what others think, when you dont even have confidence in yourself, please take the time to read what I'm about to say. How can you expect others to like you if you don't even like yourself? Being slightly what people now call "overweight", there are times when I feel like a complete loser and feel like everybody is staring at me with a magnifying glass. I finally have to come to my senses and ask myself, how will people ever want to be around me, if I think terrible things about myself? I have learned that even if you are wearing the most dorky outfit ever, but you walk around with your head held high and a huge smile on your face, people will want to talk to you! I still have days when I look at myself in the mirror and say "eww how disgusting do I look," but then I just have to remember what REALLY matters.
