One Night MAG
Last night was a night of reassurance
- a night of answered prayers mixed
with feelings of bliss and euphoria.
Last night I felt invincible
- no one could touch me, what I stand for,
or make me feel bad in any way.
We won!
Oh, what a rush I felt!
A rush of excitement and happiness that permeated
my entire household.
How pleased I am to have someone as talented,
kind-hearted and good-looking as Ruben.
Ruben may only represent himself, but as a nation,
we, as blacks, just feel relieved.
Refreshing, like an ice-cold glass of water in
a scorching desert.
We got what we need, and he got what he
deserved.
Ruben, my African-American Idol,
Thank you.
