Whn Silence Is Injustice

When I saw the title "When silense is injustice" by Emma Shedden, it immediately caught my attention. I can totally relate to this topic. Emma describes her stereotypical Chinese teacher. She talks about how the teacher would let the girls be first on evreything. Emma also talk about how the teacher would stereotype black poeple. Emma states,"Black kids, kids you know, they don't get good education. They grow up in poverty. Their parents don't care about their future." I can connect to this because growing up, people around me liked stereotyping others. In fact, growing up as an Asian teen, I have been stereotyped by many people in many ways. I felt good when someone would stand up for me. It really gets on my nerves because people shouln't judge others on the way they look. Again, thank you Emma for wanting to stand up for justice and what is right.
