Patty Cake
"Patty Cake" by Tara Troiano is an amazing poem, short and sweet. The poem reads: "grind my bones into/song lyrics, make me into/something beautiful."
The wording in this piece is simply perfect, the words clashing together to form a chaotic symphony, much like the music being described. The narrator describes wanting to turn into something beautiful, because right now, they are not, or do not think they are.
Although this writing is short, it left an imprint in my mind with its amazing phrasing and intricate message.
