My Simmering Identity
I could relate to this article greatly. With my sister being deaf she always uses the term you used "being trapped on the bridge between two worlds." My sister decided to live in a dorm in college with people who are also deaf, but my sister could hear most things. She uses that term because she isn't completely in the deaf world, but also not completely in the hearing world. My sister uses art to express her feelings and comfort her just as you do. What you guys go through is hard, and how you deal with it just shows how tough you really are. As soon as I read your article I started to realize being in her shoes. Your article was a huge eye opener, and I hope all who reads it enjoys it.
