I believe the author is correct with the assumption that they make in their article. An example used in the article that people in today’s society love cars based on their speed like the characters in Fahrenheit 451 is true. Like the characters in the book, people today are always moving and generally do not stop to slow down and enjoy the little things. According to the article, people today are becoming more and more similar to the society portrayed in the book. Abundance of television watching and an antisocial tendency are appearing in today’s society just like the society Ray Bradbury wrote about in Fahrenheit 451.
