Heartbreak
The poem "Heartbreak" by Emily is a powerful statement to me about love. The metaphor of a eyelash curler falling to the ground and her reply to it happening "Why get back up?" really got me asking questions to myself. Although the poem was only one stanza and three lines long it made a powerful impact in my brain. I would have to say that Emily deserves two thumbs up for this moving poem that relates to every teenager that has ever been heartbroken.
