In Kalia M.'s article, "Directions to Where I Live" is such an inspiring article, for I saw my life in her descriptions. I thought it was unique how Kalia wrote her passage in chronological order, from a child to an independent adult. It was impressive. When Kalia wrote, "realize how sensitive you are" is a passage I am going through this year. Since I have been in high school, I have experienced many struggles with friends, family, and school. I know I am not the only one. While I was reading, I felt as if Kalia was writing a biography about my life and what I've seen, done, or going to experience in the near future. what touched my emotions was when she said, "spend a lot of time with people but still feel like you're by yourself" because I thought that I was the only one to ever feel that way. I know now that I am not alone whenever it comes to that feeling. If I were to meet Kalia M., we wopuld be great friends.
