“Be a Man” by Blake is a story that illustrates the reasons why it shouldn’t be a problem for men to cry. I have had times when I felt embarrassed to cry just because I’m a boy. I don’t think you should be criticized for crying or showing any emotion just because of your gender.

Be a man is about a 17 year old boy who doesn’t cry. He has people in his life that tell him to man up and not sry. Then for a very good reason he just breaks down and starts crying. He cries over the tragedy and many deaths that occurred on 9/11. No one noticed or bothered him about him about it and that’s how it should be. He comes to the realization that crying doesn’t make you a worse person just because he’s a boy. Now after that he no longer cares about what other people think about him.
