“NYC Dreams” is written by L. Giles. The writer has lived in New York City for 16 years. It is about how NYC brings all the cultures and religions together. It doesn’t matter what size shape or form you are in, everyone becomes one when they enter the city. New York City is a “concrete jungle”, the different alleys and subways and restaurants and clothing stores. Block after block, it’s all the different sceneries . “If you walk down Broadway and across the tubular side streets of lower Manhattan, you can travel thousands of miles in minutes. As Chinatown gives way to Little Italy and then SoHo, an odd sense of being nowhere at all and yet everywhere at once accompanies the traveler wading through the Lower West Side.” That is a quote that explains how the writer feels about how much stuff you can learn and see just from walking a couple meters down the street. Writing is magical. “A city of dreams.”

I have visited New York City. When I arrived it was the best feeling I have felt. I felt so free. From our hotel hotel room we could see time square. At night the view took my breathe away. It was amazing. I have never seen so many lights. The Chinese food in Chinatown was so exocitc. Seeing ground Zero almost made tears come to my eyes. But now that I know they are rebuilding the twin towers it’ll be okay. I am grateful to be able to travel so much. I am proud of my grandfather who was a New York City firefighter. Someday I would love to live in New York City.
