Taking Back Control
Cara’s article, “Taking Back Control” brought tears to my eyes. I was astonished how she brought herself to write such a well written article after what had happened to her. The fact that she was raped amazes me. That someone would want to do that to another girl at only the age of fifteen. I’m proud of her that she wrote the article about her story and I hope that now she wrote the article, she can move on to better things.
The only problem I have with her story is why she didn’t tell anyone at first that she was, in fact, raped. I know I won’t ever truly understand, it’s just strange to me that she didn’t tell anyone, when she first found out. Overall I think that this was a wonderful article and I hope that Cara will not let this one tragic event ruin her life.
