Nothing Much
I step into the house
I ask him what he did today.
Mom asked my what I did today.
What should I say?
He has a look of deep thought,
Is he hiding something?
Should I tell her,
About all of my
Bad grades?
If I didn’t, would she
See through
My charades.
He hasn’t answered yet,
Something must
Be wrong.
Should I tell her,
About all
The pain?
The bullying?
The teasing?
Would it be in vain?
I’m about to ask something.
I’ve decided what to say:
Right as I open my mouth,
Hoping he won’t say:
"Nothing Much"
