A Counterfeit Smile
An unseen frown
Dwells beneath a counterfeit smile;
A pale white face shows no emotion;
And, a mouth speaks lies through it's corners.
He stutters to speak the truth, but he doesn’t.
Although his words mean everything,
They truly mean nothing.
"A child of presence is nothing, but equal,
To the boy who cried wolf."
The only difference is,
He had then told the truth.
He didn’t lie when he had said,
The robbers stole my toys,
He called the cops,
But they always said
“Tell your boy to quit playing games”.
Even though,
The boy spoke truth and nothing, but the truth.
His mother had spoken to his father,
And they had broken his little heart.
He had realized that his trouble had caused another fight..
Later that night,
He left on his flight; to the park he held his arms,
Higher than the skies,
He rose his head just to find,
His soul at his soles,
The robbers stood at a bigger top then his tippy toes.
The look in their eye’s told a story,
It was too hard to define.
They tore him out of gravity, and dropped him,
Lower then the floor,
His heart sank and he began to grow abhor,
But, he could not contemplate,
His tears rolled out; on and over to the floor,
And sobs began to grow, colder than before,
He laid there with a heart that was beaten and sore.
A cleft between love and hate,
It was his heartache,
His life was based on bully ache,
He had no choice,
Life wasn't that, that hated him,
It was hate that made him,
Take him.
No charge on the bully's sake,
Man, people these days are so fake.
Bullies are not something to be played with,
Please awake,
And, notice
Our world has changed.
