A Look Into Homelessness
In America, homelessness is a significant issue that’s affected thousands of people for many years. Because of this, the rate of homelessness has had a major increase since the early years of the 20th century. This issue has also had a big impact on society, and not just on homeless victims. There are plenty of reasons as to why a person could be without a home, which is best to not judge.
Without a doubt, homelessness can’t be ended in a quick way, which is best to first understand the causes of this issue. Some main causes of homelessness can be lack of adequate income, mental health issues, and addiction. Income may not be the best for them, especially not enough for them to afford housing rent. A majority of homeless people are also dealing with addictions and mental health issues, which prevents them from getting a job and staying stable.
Rather than criticizing the homeless, it’s best to try to help them get adequate resources and housing. Some of the things that the community does for homeless people is raise awareness and volunteer in charities that help them with food and shelter. By doing this, it could help the homeless to recover from issues they’re dealing with and slowly find a job to maintain themselves.
In conclusion, the world would be a better place when homelessness can slowly be resolved, as long as people maintain their faith in it. It would show how the community does care for them and at the same time, they could also make the streets a cleaner & safer place. If this issue is not resolved, there will sadly be a never ending cycle of homelessness.
