Dogfight
I catch movement out of the corner of my eye and whip around to face the shadowy figure creeping closer. The shadows melt away from his face as he emerges into the circle of light. This man is lean with guiltless deep brown eyes and waist length silver hair pulled back into a ponytail, his hard face is cut and bruised and he walks with a limp as if he has been injured. I push myself against the wall out of the light, my heart pounding so hard against my ribcage that I know he can hear it. He stops about a foot from me and crouches down to meet my eyes.
