Good Samaritan
I stand high above the city, my city. All my life, I’ve lived here. I watch the snow fall across the buildings, covering their filth. Through all its ups and downs, I will always be here. As will many others, others who need this place. We can travel to all these other great places. But we can never be happy, be calm. This city is our jungle, it’s in our blood. And there are those that try to take me out of the city I love. Those like you, who think that they are on some holy moral mission to deliver this place from evil. But it doesn’t need saving. It is saved. It has men like me, good men. Men who are willing to get their hands dirty for the benefit of the people. Men can make the hardest decisions for others, whether they understand it or not. And it has cowards like you who take pride in removing what makes this city great. Cowards who think they hold the power to take me out as this city’s kingpin.
