The door creaks as it closes behind me. Lights off. Home alone. Noises upstairs. I follow the noise. My heart beats out of my chest when I turn the corner to see a black shadow. The shadow moves closer. My heart beats faster. My cat turns the corner and meows as it runs towards me.
