At the end of a great century of peace and unity a great war broke out, one which no one could’ve predicted or prepared themselves for. Men’s wicked hearts proved weak and they turned against the greatest friends they ever had, the elves. The dwarves split into two nations, the northern and southern dwarves. The southern dwarves hearts proved wicked and for centuries they sat in their mines brewing evil plans where the dwarves of the north proved more strong in spirit and on one day accidently discovering the greatest gem of their time, the Adlestone, they granted it to the elves as a gift of peace. The Elven supreme council disagreed in the accepting of such a noble gift and they split, the more peaceful elves finding refuge in the mountains. The men as a final decree of the separation of all free folk planted trees of great majesty to split the world of men and ‘strange’ folk. The Alphs disappeared and for centuries and centuries were never seen and never heard of but their presence was known. The trees of men were so beautiful and abundant that no sooner it had brought legends of old to take care of them, the Ents were come. Displeasing the king of men with their grand appearance, he took several of his best soldiers riding to the border, fire at hand to ward of the giants but as they entered the forest they were never seen again. The disappearance of a king brought chaos to a young land of men and soon it was settled that certain Lords were to take care instead of one man, so the honour was laid on to several families.
The Supreme council of the elves was run by the Lords and Ladies but not only them for high atop the throne of legends sat a king and his queen, protecting their people with their knowledge and love they held within their hearts. It was during this time that the southern dwarves heard of the prized possession sought after for the prize of their nation was in the hands of the enemy. For years they planned their sweet revenge and as years passed peace overflowed with in the walls of Myundai. For within a year of the received jewel a son was born onto the family and they celebrated in the joy of the miraculous event and called him Calanon, light. Now the dwarves went over to their brothers of the north to make them join them but their minds were not so quickly overturned and on their own the southern dwarves slowly preceded to Myundai, the great city. After their first attack and the assemble of the marches of the elves a second child was born unto the family, a great treasure for he birth was miracle on its own and with her birth came a prophecy. Ithilwen, daughter of the moon was born unto the family of Cedric and Caladwen.
The armies of the southern dwarves advanced but the elves fought them off leaving them with a year of peace. By the time Ithilwen was the Southern Dwarves had joined forces with a evil so dark and deadly that most of the city was evacuated that very day. Slowly the town was evacuated and staying until the last of his people were safe, Cedric and his family remained in Myundai. One night, as father and son watched for sign of mischief and Ithilwen lay on a matress next to her mothers bed she listened and listened and heard sounds which plummented her heart into fear, her mother hushed her and rolled her under the bed. Two breathes were taken when the door slammed open, darkness filled the room, a darknes so dark and evil that not even the moon, who searched for Ithilwen, could not penetrate it . She could her hear her mother’s sobs and desperate cries for the darkness to stop whatever it was doing. All Ithilwen could do was clamp her ears shut and bit her lips to make sure she made no sound. And then as Ithilwen peered under the bed she saw her mother stand tall and definite, an image of nobility, and then with one final shriek she fainted and was taken by the darkness. The small girl of five lay under the bed and closed her eyes in attempt to erase the images but they would not go, she forgot about time and the world and huddled together praying she would never be seen. The Adleston was safe around the neck of a little five year old, huddled under her mothers bed, keeping tears away, hiding from the moon. Ithilwen. Alone under the bed and shivering the maid found her the following morning and thinking for her safety she picked up the small girl and carried her to her room, placing her well within the soft enveloping warmth of Ithilwens bed.  And well tucked within the warmth of those covers her father and brother found her, they thought her ignorant to her mothers disappearance. They would never know that she knew the truth and she would never tell. The city was evacuated within a day .
