The Fairy
Under his pillow lay a single white tooth that may not seem significant in the eyes of someone of old age, but to the eyes of Jamie, it was a treasure.
The stories of the Fairy has stolen his imagination.
This Fairy, in his eyes, has a special task.
This task is to give Jamie a special gift in return for his stained red tooth.
Jamie had much trouble loosening this tooth, but it seems so worth it at this point.
Jamie closes his eyes and keeps a grin on his face as his mind drifts off to sleep...
The door creeks open. Soft feet make its way to the edge of the bed. A gentle hand reaches under Jamie's snoring head, replacing the small tooth for a tainted coin.
"Poor Jamie", his mom whispered to his dad, "when will he learn that the Tooth Fairy does not work on Wednesdays..." His dad sighed and they both walk out of the room and carefully shut the door.
