The Big It
I sit perfectly still, not daring to move, frozen in time. The Big It stares at me with enormous blue eyes. At least I think they’re blue, but I can’t be sure. The Big It is massive, and possibly dangerous. Now It sits down on the ground, watching me. A big hole opens up in its face, what I assume to be its face, and a horrible booming noise comes out. I arm myself with a fallen nut and hurl it at the Big It. “Shut up!” I scream, shaking with anger, my whiskers quivering. The Big It jumps to its feet, an even louder noise coming out. Nothing left to do but run, so I flee. I scurry up my tree, The Big It’s howl following me into my home. I watch out of my window as it walks away, shaking it’s big shaggy head. “And good riddance.” I snort.
