The Amber Chronicles Preview
I stared ahead at the blinding golden light. That only made the bottomless feeling in my stomach deepen. I absentmindedly ran my fingers through Wolfs fur.
"Are you sure about this?" he grunted, making me snap out of it. The golden portal set us both on the edge. "Sure as ever" I replied. With that, he ran forward. I gasped at his sudden dash, which almost threw me off him. I struggled to get my grip, grabbing fist fulls of his hair. The trees whooshed by at lightening speed.
And suddenly we were there, in front of the portal. Everything seemed to go in slow motion, even if Wolf was at the peek of his run. The golden light swallowed up everything...and that was the last I could remember.
