Rainy Day
The rain softly falls out side my blue window. I gaze out at the flat plains of Northern Texas. My heart lies in front of my in pieces. It waits for some to reach out to it, and put it back together. My mouth can't move, and let familiar words form across my lips. I want to reach out and touch my broken heart, but my arms are chained to my bed by invisible bonds. I think of him, his smile, his dark eyes, the way words formed across his lips. Memories of him haunt me like a ghost. I sit and stare at my broken heart, unable to move. I lay in wait, hoping, praying, waiting for someone to rescue us.....I wish that this long, Rainy Day would end with the early morning sun....
