The Special Man
I wonder if I will ever get married, I thought as I was running in the pouring rain. The rain was flowing onto my cold skin, my soul was melting away, I couldn't stop thinking about that one special man.(magic 3)
I was running up the stairs into my palace bedroom. As I got to the top of the stairs, my legs were burning like a fire. (figurative language) I went into my room, and fell onto my soft bed. As I looked at the canopy above my bed, I could not stop thinking about him, that one special man of course. I can imagine him now, tall, well dressed, and gorgeous.
As my eyes began to close, and I started to fall asleep, I heard someone shouting “Isabella, Princess Isabella.” I jumped up and I knew that it was time for supper. As I sat down on the soft cushion of the chair, the food smelled so good, the aroma was like salt and chicken. Even though it looked disgusting, I took some from my plate, and stuffed it into my mouth, it tasted like chicken too. I looked over at my father, King Harold the 8th, and he was chewing obnoxiously loud.(specific details for effect)
When we finished supper, I skipped into my bedroom, then my father knocked and came in.
“Father,” I said. “Do you think that I will ever get married?”
“I don't know, maybe,” the king declared.
The next morning I looked out my window and I saw the most handsome man riding his horse to our castle. I started running around, panicking trying to find my best, most prettiest dress I could find, for the arrival of the prince. I rushed down the stairs, just as I got to the bottom of the stairs the prince knocked the knockers, and I ran to the door. When I opened the door I saw him, and he was very handsome in person, more handsome than I had thought!
As I looked up I gave him that you're-so-cute-look.(hyphenated modifier) He gave me the glance right back, I practically fainted, then my father got there and it was back to reality. My father made me go to my bedroom, so he could have some private time with the prince.
I didn't know what my father was talking about with the prince, I didn't know what my father was saying, I didn't know if I wanted to know what my father was saying.(repetition for effect) After the prince left, my father came up to my room and told me I was going to have lunch with the prince the next day. I got very excited!
After my wonderful “date” with the prince I knew that he was the one for me. My next “date” with him was the very next day, he said that it was going to be fun and romantic. While I was getting into bed the phone rang and it was Prince Eric.
“Meet me by the swan pond,” Eric said.
I said okay, and we were both off to bed. As the morning approached I became nervous, and I had no idea why! I went to the swan pond and right as I turned the corner I saw Eric on his knee holding a diamond ring.
I ran up to him, and he whispered, “Will you marry me?”
“Yes, yes, a million times yes,” I screamed.
Eric stood up and placed the ring on my finger, and we ran all the way to the castle. I opened the door and my father was standing right there. I flung my hand in the air and showed him the ring. Right away he said “no you are too young.” I started to cry, while running up to my room, and Eric left.
The next day my father came up to my bedroom, he wanted to talk to me about getting married. He said that he was young when he married my mother. He said that if I wanted to get married that it had to be serious.
“Our relationship is serious,” I declared.
“Okay, invite him to come back over, and tell him that you guys can get married,” father said.
So I called Eric and told him to hurry over, that I had good news. All of a sudden I heard something loud and thunderous, and I knew that it was Eric. I rushed down the stairs and told him the good news, he was so excited. We planned when we were going to have the wedding, and sent out all of the invitations.
When the day of the wedding came, we were both so nervous. We wanted everything to be perfect. Everyone that we sent the invitations to came. It felt like forever until the wedding actually came, and when we kissed that one special kiss, I knew that he was that one special man.
