5’5”, 170 pounds, Position: Quarterback, Name: Krishna Rameshvaram. Coach Strong, a 58 year old 6’4” former All-American, took one look and starred this line. He moved on to the rest of the tryout list which had predominately white players that he had known for 3 years and was eager to win the Alabama high school state championship with.

Meanwhile, 2 miles away in a two-bedroom apartment, Krishna Rameshvaram sat in his room saying to himself, “I just need to make QB.” In the kitchen, his parents questioned whether their son would ever follow in their footsteps and go to college instead of following his dream. He was a happy child, like the Hindu God Krishna, but now everything had changed.
Who knew that the next day, Krishna would have 2 seconds to play the perfect route in a game of scrimmage. He would think to himself, “Should I hit the guy 90 yards away or take a sack and ruin my dream?”
He ended up choosing the first, he closed his eyes and he threw the football.
The day of tryouts Krishna made the walk to the boy’s locker room, lined up with all the other players that had a guaranteed spot on this team. He was immediately approached by Coach Strong and he said, “Look kid it is likely that y’re not gonna play quarterback unless you show me what you can do.”

He ended up revealing his huge secret, his arm. One of his favorite games was to set up a target, move back 100 yards and try to hit it with his football. Every time, he hit it with almost perfect accuracy.

In the end, Krishna achieved his dream of playing quarterback and finally his parents could see the happiness of Lord Krishna, return in their son.
