The Beauty of Darkness
Darkness is somehow beautiful. An eerie, cold beauty that haunts as one gazes.
As it begins to clear, I recognize myself in the seams. The harsh pavement is glowing with rain that has just fallen. Everything is clean but sad. The sky is flowing with colors. There are pink and purple waves that are soft and faint. There are clouds that whisper across the silky sky. The sun sets and a fiery radiance spreads over anything exposed. Including me.
Happiness is so fleeting. Like a glimpse of the sunset that looks like eternity. One moment, you are looking into the eyes of the greatest scene this world can give, and the next, darkness.
Darkness is somehow beautiful. An eerie, cold beauty that haunts as one gazes.
