The Dead Do Talk
You learn a lot from the dead. Whoever said the dead don't speak was deaf, or daft, possibly both. I hear many things from a dead man, and don't you dare laugh, this voice is of no illnesses' accord. In fact, it is no voice at all. I simply read my clients, a woman's love of her family can be portrayed by the locket left on her neck when she died. A man's unfortunate addiction can be deduced from the marks on his watch, clumsy, misguided, drunken hands do a number on a watch. And, the work isn't all bad, my clients are always pleasant, and so very patient, if not a little cold. The final, and best part of my job, is that I can send a person, young or old, on their paths to their gods, looking just as beautiful as they did alive. This is no fetish, people deserves to look presentable on the most important day of their lives.
