He and I
I was lost, surrounded by the humid dead air, pale skies, and silence.
He was living, smiling everyday even tho sometimes he didn’t want to. He had so many friends, living in the green grass of a growing meadow, listening to the winds whisper.
I was alone, lost, and cold. I was living a lie...faking a smile, living and continuing to breath.
He was surrounded by love, wanting to change the world, to live, to run through the green meadow uncontrollably.
I ran, surrounded by pain and sorrow.
He ran into a glowing tree, its branches spreading while they shine in glee.
I ran to the tree, looking at its dead, hallow branches.
He mounted the wooden rope swing, and flew into the sky.
I untied the rope swing, made a knot...
He flew into the sky.
I am just a memory.
