She is a Mermaid!
My best friend called Stephanie, had always a dream about being a mermaid. She was always dreaming and telling me stories about the ocean. But one day during school at lunch, Stephanie was talking with the cheerleaders, she was telling one of her mermaid's stories. Which I was the only one who tolerate her stories, because no one liked them or were thinking that they were a little bit stupid. So I decided to take Stephanie away from the bullies (cheerleaders) and I told her, "Stephanie, gurl lets go. These people are always mean to you and to me. Let's go to my house so then we can do our homework and stuff". She looked at me deeply, but smiled. She said, "Eva, your mom was not coming to your house today? Because she will be mad if she see us alone at your house though". I said, "Yes she is, but it doesn't matter. C'mon, lets get out of here". With that, we left and walk home. While walking, I noticed her acting weird. But I didn't care that much. As we arrive to my house, luckily, my mom was there. She gave Stephanie a warm welcome. My mom was excited to see me. But i told her that Stephanie and i are going to make a Biology project. My mom understood. Then I took Stephanie to my room, and luckily the sun was still up and shining. The sunlight shining through my window and gave color to my room for my curtains. I laid in my bed, just resting and five minutes later Stephanie was crying, softly but painfully. I didn't know what to do. I asked her, "Dude, what's going on? Why are you crying? You were not like that today... What happened?. She looked at me, dried the tears with her jacket, took a deep breath, and started to tell me the reason why she was crying. She said, "Eva, I went to my neighbor house yesterday, and I founded something extremely weird. I founded a book-, a book called 'White Magic', so I opened the book and I started to read, and-" She didn't finished. Desperately I answered, "And what? Stephanie, calm down. I'm not going to tell anyone, I promise", I raised my 'pinkie promise' finger. She and I closed our 'pinkie promise' fingers, but she continued. "And i saw a page saying, 'Spell to become a mermaid', I read it, I followed the instructions and when i finished the spell, I felt my legs itching. But there's one thing at the end of the page it says, 'Secondary effects: itchy legs, headaches, dizziness, blurry eyes, etc. If you have these symptoms that means the spell it's working. Good luck!' and so now i think that I'm a real mermaid". She finished the story. I was surprised, well, not surprised, AMAZED. I couldn't believe that my best friend is a mermaid. Then I said, "There's only one way to know if this is true". But Stephanie got mad, "So you don't believe me isn't, you don't trust your only best friend!?" I looked at her like I didn't meant that, "No girl, I mean, there's only a way to know if this is true. If you have a fishtail or not. That's what I meant". Stephanie answered quickly, "Omg Eva, I am so sorry for that, and yes. I need to put water in my legs to see if that's true. But i believe that it's true!". I looked at her, meaning 'uh-hum' for an answer, and after that we went to my bathroom. I filled the tub with warm water, so then she can fit or better said, her tail could fit in the tub. I grabbed Stephanie by the hand really hard, I was scared though. She looked at me saying, "It's all good. Now, let's see...". I sat in the floor waiting while she was almost getting one foot in the water. Then she buried herself in the water, and... OMG! I saw a... a... a tail. "She is a mermaid!" I said surprised. Her tail had a mixture of purple with a dark pink color, it was beautiful. Stephanie looked at me and she said, "My dream is made. Eva, don't be afraid, I know that you love mermaids too. One day you will be like me, and remember that dreams come true if you believe in them"
