Away For Awhile
Amethyst looked at Bentley and smiled at him. Finally, for the first time since she and Bentley had adopted Jasmine and Brody, they were alone. Yes, she knew they were
young, but their parents thought that they would be excellent parents to a 3 and a 2 year old. And they were, the kids even thought so.
“Finally, no kids around, I can do this.” Bentley said. Amethyst knew he loved his kids, sometimes they were a hand full.
He leaned down and kissed his beautiful girlfriend. The kiss was sweet and fiesty, just like Amethyst.
“I so agree, don't worry though, Mom and Dad are watching them, they will be fine.” Amethyst said, she had seen the worry in his eyes.
They just stood near the river, not talking. At the moment, they were just watching the stars, enjoying a kid free hour. The kids however, would not enjoy the evening.
Jenny sighed, she could not believe it, Jasmine and Brody would not stop crying for Amethyst and Bentley.
“Come on kids, your parents will be back soon.” She told her grandkids.
