Scar’s Villian Speech
I must say, my brother’s tragic passing was unexpected. But then again, I have always said I would make a great king...tough crowd. I think we can all agree that Simba is not fit to be the ruler of the pride lands, therefore it is only right if I step in and occupy “his spot” as king of the Lion Guard. Would you all feel comfortable if you called a child like baby your king? Would you see a bright future for yourselves? Your kids? And what about finding out who killed your late king? Do you trust Simba will complete the job effectively? If it were up to me, I know I would not.
Although my brother Mufasa got you all this far, don’t you want to go all the way? Don’t you want to build a great future for your cubs and for theirs to come? Wouldn’t you want a place that thrives rather than barely survives? How about a place to call home? I can make this place better than anyone ever imagined or could ever make it. As your king, I will make the tough choices to better this place that no one else wants or can do. For Pride Lands future you must give me your loyalty and answer to me, so the next generations will thrive tomorrow and so we can today.
This decision could never be taken lightly, though it does need to be made quickly. Without a ruling made soon, the Pride Lands is left to fend for itself and the so called, “Circle of Life” will no longer continue. I understand there may be hesitation within your final decision due to my association with my foolish hyena clan, but I am here to assure you that they will in no way have any effect on the future or Pride Lands or any of my decisions made to get there. Some of you will say I have big shoes to fill but I have even bigger plans for your future. Well, it seems I have overstayed my welcome on Pride Rock yet again…ha, that’s almost laughable.

Regardless…ruling the Pride Lands is a tough job no doubt, but that is why you all have me. After all, I would make a great king, some might even believe better than Simba ever could be. I have no intention of becoming your friend during this process but merely to become your acquaintance and most importantly your leader. Embrace the future I will bring you and walk with me down this rightful path towards Pride Lands success, and you too might live to see it.

This peace was a English 3 assignment where we had to write a villain speech either villainizing a fictional character or write one based off an actual villain. I chose Scar from the Lion King because it has always been a favorite movie of mine and Scar is my favorite character in it.
