The Man in a White Mask
I once heard of an urban legend that told me to be wary of walking out while its dark; especially at 3 AM, witching hour they said. The story is told that a young woman was once followed home by an anonymous man. He wore a white mask and carried a knife beside him. No matter how far she ran, he always caught up until eventually she was slaughtered in the footsteps of her own home. Of course, it was just a story and I was going to be perfectly fine. I stepped out of my college dorm and began walking before I felt someone following me. I immediately stopped and checked my watch, it read 3 AM. I bolted towards the nearest telephone booth and slammed the door shut behind me, but as I began to reach for the phone my hand paused. I looked down and saw a knife in my stomach. I then began slowly pondering over and saw a hooded man. He had a white mask and a knife, but of course, it wasn't beside him.
