A kid gets a new Bourton coustom snowboard. He figures out that there is a chip in the board after he gets it home. He looks up how to fix a  chip in a snowboard. Going and getting clear nail polish and fixing it after a few tries. getting a GOPRO sticker to put over where the chip was . and getting really exited for winter na ddoing tricks in my basement on blankets.

  t has been one whole season on a beat up old rental board it was time for a snowboard of my own. The rental boards from Cannonsburg are really chipped and the edges are not sharp at all so it is hard to ride. When I tried to do a box or rail on the rental  boards the bottom sticks and I fall of the box this happens because they do not wax the boards so the bottom is not slippery. That made me irritated.

I just got a new snowboard it's a Burton Custom and it’s a really nice board. I was jumping up and down with joy when my mom said we were going to get me a snowboard. When I rubbed my fingers down the edge of the board it was a little bit dull. When we got home from getting my board we figured out that there was a chip in the tail of the snowboard that was not small but was not to big. I was really kinda mad that there was a chip in the board I had just bought. I stuck my finger under the chip and the fiberglass felt like sandpaper.
Me and my mom looked up how to fix a chip in a snowboard and the internet said to paint clear nail polish on and under where the chip is and clamp it down . I was relieved that there was a easy way to fix it. But we did not have any clear nail polish.
I went outside the next day and rode my bike to a store near me and got clear nail polish. When I got back to my house I went right to my basement where my board was and painted the nail polish on and used a wrench to clamp it down. The nail polish has a really bad smell that I don't like that much. I went back down in my basement about noon the next day and took the wrench off but the chip just came right back up. I painted the nail polish back on and clamped it back down with the wrench again then waited another day. I went back downstairs and took the clamp off but the chip popped right back up with a loud snap. so I painted it back on and used a different clamp and hoped that it would finally work after three tries. I check again the next day and it was staying down I finally fixed the chip I was super happy that it finally worked..

The area that the chip was did not look very good. I looked all over my house for a sticker to cover up the area  but I had no luck finding a sticker so I asked my parents and brother if they had any and they all said no my brother said no very rudely so I got kinda mad at him.
I got on my phone and texted my friend that had just got a GOPRO and so I asked him if I could have one of his GOPRO stickers. My friend said yes I could have one I was grateful That he gave me his sticker.
The next morning I rode my bike down the street to my friends house to get the sticker so I could fix my snowboard finally after four days of trying to fix the chip. I got home after I got the sticker and went downstairs to put the sticker on my board and my board was gone so I look all over the room trying to find my board but it was not in there. I had a pretty good guess that my brother was playing a prank on me so I look in other rooms and in the last room I checked I found it. I picked it up and brought it back to the room I had it in  and put the GOPRO sticker on over the chip and the board looked like it was a brand new board right out of the factory.
The next day I went back downstairs and laid four blankets down on the floor. I put my boots on and strapped into my board and started doing 180s and 360s and butters which is just transfering all my weight to the front or back of the board and the back or front coming up.I was getting really eager for the snow to start falling.When I was doing the 180s and 360s it was really loud. MY mom came downstairs and and said “Did the sticker work”.
“Yup, it looks a lot better now that I got the sticker on it” I said.
“Good now all you need to do is sharpen your edge right” Said my mom
“Yea but I don't have a sharpener so I will have to get one or borrow one”. I said
“Ok you can check how much they are online and we could maybe get one because I am sure we will use it more than once”. said my mom.
“ Ok i will go look in a little bit.: I said.
“Ok Tell me what you find.” said my mom
“OK.’ I said
I continued to do tricks on my snowboard after my mom left. After about a half hour I Decided to go upstairs and get some water. I drank my water and decided to go sit down and watch TV I still had the excitement of snowboarding in my head tho. The next day I had school so I told all my friends that I had got a new snowboard and that I was really excited to go snowboarding this season.
