Island
It was a cloudy early morning, Bryan was already out on the docks getting some bait for his fishing trip with Jason. They met up right there ready to leave, they loaded all there equipment on to the boat.
"Water seems calm today" said Jason.
"Did you check if there were any storms near or coming by?" Bryan asked.
"Yeah I checked, there wont be any storms near us today" replied Jason.
"Reel in the anchor please so we can leave now and come back by noon" said Bryan.
They went off out in the ocean.
"I know a great spot about 30 miles south of Kulum Island. I overheard fisherman the other day that it’s a great spot for catching tuna fish," said Jason.
"Okay let's go there, it would be nice to finally catch tuna again. Hopefully can catch more than for our food so we can make a little money off them," replied Bryan.
About half an hour passed by and Jason was looking out in the ocean and spotted some fish to their right.
"Look there ! To your right you see that?" said Jason.
"You think that’s tuna fish? They look pretty big, are we already here at the spot?" said Bryan.
"Yea we are about 34 miles out from the island it should be around here. Let's start putting some lines in the water," said Jason.
As soon as Bryan put a line in something bit the bait.
"Look at your line Bryan! You got a bite and it's pulling!" said Jason.
"Woah it's pretty strong! You might need to strap me in the chair Jason hurry!" said Bryan.
As Jason started strapping him in the chair his line started pulling too. An hour has passed by and the fish was still fighting them.
"This fish does not want to be caught," said Bryan.
"He stopped pulling the line. Bryan reel it in hurry!" shouted Jason.
Bryan started reeling it in as quickly as possible.
"Woah that’s a big one Bryan I can see it in the water its swimming there !" said Jason.
As he was pulling it, the line snapped.
"Dang it the line snapped!" shouted Bryan.
"Bryan I think we have bigger problems than that" said Jason.
"What is it?" replied Bryan.
"Our radar is picking up a storm headed our way. It seems, looks like its about 5 miles away. I think we should head to Kulum and wait it out there" suggested Jason.
About ten minutes later the sky got darker and the waves were getting pretty heavy.
"You feel the wind Jason? I think it's getting closer" said Bryan.
"Yea we are probably going to have to fight it." replied Jason.
"Woah ! Look out a huge wave is coming!" shouted Bryan.
The wave hit the boat and the strength of the wave flipped the boat over and knocked out the both of them. Bryan woke up on an island he did not recognize and saw pieces of the boat scattered everywhere. He did not see Jason anywhere so he gathered everything that would be useful and left it in a pile. He found an emergency kit with a flare gun and kept that with him.
"Jason! Jason can you hear me!" shouted Bryan.
He didn’t hear anything so he kept walking, hoping to come across him. It was getting dark and no sign of Jason. He collected wood from dead trees to make a fire for the night and fell asleep.
"Bryan .. Bryan, Wake up Bryan it's me Jason" he said.
"I'm so glad to see you! Where have you been?" replied Bryan.
"I was on the other side of the island and came across the stuff you piled up from the boat and thought you were close so I kept walking and here you are. Have you eaten anything?" said Jason.
"No I have not, have you?" replied Bryan
"No but I seen some really small sharks by the shore we can catch" said Jason.
"Okay let's get one.''
They went and caught 2 small sharks for food and ate them, couple momnets went by and a airplane was passing by.
"Look Bryan Look!"
They both shouted "Over here! Hey!"
Bryan shot one of the 2 flares they had and the people in the plane did not see it or hear them and
kept going.
"How did they not see that Bryan?" asked Jason.
"I don't know man I guess we were too late," replied Bryan
They kept walking. That night a yacht passed by, playing loud music.
"Hey! Over here! Hello?" shouted Jason.
"Don’t bother, they won't hear us," said Bryan.
"You can't just give up Bryan, you never know. They probably could've heard us if we both screamed."
"I doubt it. Let's just camp here," said Bryan.
"Don’t you think your wife would have sent a rescue party by now? She's probably worried." asked Jason.
"I don't know. I did not tell her how long I was going to be gone for," replied Bryan.
"Okay let's get some sleep for now, we will figure things out tomorrow," said Jason.
It was a long day they had but they did not notice they fell asleep at 3 in the morning.
"Wake up Jason, Jason wake up."
"What is it?" said Jason.
"I think we overslept. It's past noon, now we will never get off this island," replied Bryan.
"Gather stuff and let's make a huge fire, maybe someone will see it," said Jason.
"That won't work no one flies by night," said Bryan.
"Just do it it's worth a shot." replied Jason.
They started up the fire and waited. Two hours passed by and Jason started to give up.
"We aren't going to be seen. This is useless we should just..."
"Shut up Jason you hear that? It's an aircraft , shoot the flare gun!"
Jason shot the flare gun and they both prayed they would see. The aircraft turned around and landed on the water.
"You guys need help? said the pilot.
"Yes please we've been stranded for 2 days please help" said Jason.
"Climb on and I'll give you guys a lift. Where you headed to?" Said the pilot.
"Kali Island, thank you so much!" replied Bryan.
They climbed on and had a long flight home.
