“Your father awaits you five!” bowed Glore as he sent his high master’s orders. The siblings got up quietly and fearfully, shuffling their feet. Dominoe and Jane were whimpering furiously. These two totally loved their father and could really never be apart. Philodious, Renald and Dephiduous were equally upset but were too embarrassed to show their emotions because they were too proud. As they approached their father’s kingly room, they heard groaning from inside. As they looked at each other nervously, Renald took a deep breath and stepped forward whilst the others held back. He opened the door and went through the curtains that were obscuring the entrance. The sight that befell him could never leave his head again. His father was uncontrollably wheezing in utmost pain. His brothers and sister tip-toed into the room. Jane edged to the bed and crouched. She gently tapped her father with trembling hands. Her father’s eyes flew open and he tried his best to smile. He looked on lovingly at his beautiful grown up girl that he had raised, and with shaky hands stroked her jet black, midnight hair. She held his hand against her for what seemed like hours. Then finally she laid it down and took off her golden leaf crown off her head and laid it gently on her father;“My dear father. This crown you gave me so lovingly since I was a little ‘un will always remember me of you everywhere and every time. I love you father, I do,” Jane trembled, her voice shaking as she spoke, tears gradually spilling out of her eyes. Her father smiled and said:“Yes, my dear and I love you too!”. Reassured, Jane smiled back and her light brown round chocolate eyes gave a warm feeling to him. Then in turn, the rest of them managed to have time to bid farewell to their most beloved possession-their father. The burial took place early morning with thousands of mourners crying and weeping incessantly as they said their goodbyes to their dear ruler and king. The royal family walked on ahead, eyes filled with water. As they reached the burial ground, Jane could take it no more. As a result of this, she fainted. Immediately, Renald took charge and ordered some of the knights to take back the princess home and put her in the safe hands of the nurses. After the princess had been taken away into care, they moved on to the procedure of burying the late King. Some time later, the King had been buried. The royals began their journey back to their palace. When they reached the palace, the princes decided who should become King. Finally, the decision landed on Renald as he was the oldest out of all of them. After him they would pick the next oldest and so on. Renald set about ordering the palace to get ready for his coronation at the great hall called Thore. Dephiduous meanwhile, decided to go check up on his sister. Jane and Dephiduous were very close and always helped each other when in difficulty. As he entered her room, he saw a nurse tending to her. He wanted to speak to Jane himself. So he asked the nurse to leave. In accordance, the nurse left and Dephiduous approached her bed. As he sat down he thought that the fact that the nurse had said about her future seizures, it seemed like it was coming true. Dephiduous wanted to wake her up, to hear her laughing and joking with him, to see her do daring things. To think these happy thoughts at a sad time made him want to cry. So in his sadness he sang the song they made up for each other. He sang the one he had made especially for her:“We’ve shared so much through the years, both the laughter and the tears. Much more to me you are than the whole family. You are a lifelong friend. You will be my beloved sister till the very end.” Dephiduous stopped and pause for breath. As he closed his eyes momentarily, little did he know that Jane had heard him and was slowly and gradually lifting herself up. As he opened his eyes, he was shocked to see his sister smiling at him-not in the loving and humorous way but as if in a mechanical way. Dephiduous stared on in amazement. Jane asked him out of the blue: “So what’s your opinion of having power?” she asked so casually that Dephiduous was going to fall off the chair just to even think about if for a second. Deciding to give her a reply he said that yes he would like to have a little more power than he had. Jane tilted her head awkwardly. Now, Dephiduous was sure something was wrong.“Let’s start!”, Dephiduous looked confused. Jane beckoned him to follow. It so happened that they together had plotted the evil plan of killing King Renald, their very own brother. Dephiduous was captured underneath Jane’s evil doing so he was easy going on the plan. He would do whatever it would take. When King Renald was in his room having a nap, Dephiduous crept in with a small dagger. Jane followed in from behind with another small dagger. As they approached the innocent King Renald they smiled at each other evilly. Jane, as quick as lightning, covered the King’s face. Then Dephiduous thrust the dagger into the King’s heart. A gasp was heard. Jane was sure it wasn’t enough so, she thrust her dagger into his stomach. There was blood everywhere. Soon after the castle had found out what happened due to Jane’s false screams. After another sad burial they went back. Obviously Dephiduous wasn’t going to stop. So the two brothers before him died in a similar way over the next few months. After Dominoe and Philodious, came Dephiduous. This was the moment he had been awaiting. TWAAANG! The arrow had just missed Dephiduous. He sniggered. Laure came and tapped him from behind. Laure was his best friend (as he supposed). He went back a few inches and looked him in the eye. Dephiduous waited. An arrow came out of nowhere and hit home.Jane had changed. After her brother died, she had vowed to never be evil again. As she walked out into the garden, the sun shone out on her, and she smiled, for the first time in years- she smiled a real smile. Glore called Jane in. Jane was a bit confused and went in. The priest was here. Jane was surprised. Apparently he was here to crown her queen. Shocked, Jane nodded and thought maybe it would be good if she would be Queen. So as she went out she was met by a crowd of people awaiting to congratulate her. The kingdom erupted into cheers. They had waited for a time of happiness and peace. Now it had finally come.
